I can 3rd this. I had this problem first time I tried playing the game, I waited a long while for a connection (after starting the game you get that magnifying glass and planet symbol in motion), and I presume a connection was made and the level started loading and got stuck there.
I realised later that "private" games were being used and open and that is how I ended up connecting to others and playing a game. Once I had completed the game, it decided on its own course to connect up again with someone totally different, that worked fine.
p.s. I was using your latest version 1.3 alpha. with on-board intel 4500 graphics. and windows 7 64-bit.
p.p.s I had that same problem trying to connect with others in a private session. But it eventually worked. I guess its because it's not telling us any information that we think it's not working, connection problems?
p.p.p.s - great game really enjoyed it. will follow this project I think.
